Ben is an environment artist with 20 years experience working across film, animation and commercials. Currently working at Weta Digital in New Zealand, he has previously worked at Animal Logic Sydney and MPC London.
Some of his more recent projects include Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (winner of "Best overall VFX in a photoreal feature" VES), Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Mulan (winner of the VES for "Outstanding Created Environment in a Photoreal Feature").
In 2010 he was part of the matte painting team that was the recipient of the VES award for best matte paintings in commercial or broadcast in the Animal Logic TVC Emerald Cities (2009).
He has strong artistic abilities and technical skills and works with an array of software packages that allow him to develop a shot from start to finish.
He has worked across live-action VFX for film and television, as well as animated features.
